Not sure if Apple is aware of these issues or who else is having them, but needed to vent because my $2500 laptop is essentially useless. I expect to encounter more bugs the more I use it. This is just what I've seen in the week or so I've had the new version. My GeForce now games just randomly lose the ability to use the mouse (left and right click work, but moving the mouse doesn't). Sometimes clicking things in apps doesn't work, or it registers a click on a search bar instead of a button I clicked. I've had to restart my computer multiple times because all I see is the fucking loading icon for my mouse. The only apps I have running are Discord and Nvidia GeForce, and I'm not even in a game. Same thing for right clicking on a dock icon to view the menu: I usually can't press anything.Īs I'm typing this, my entire computer is frozen. Hovering icons does not enlarge them even though I have that turned on in settings. The Dock is usually just completely frozen. Sometimes it'll let me press the first menu item, but pressing a menu item 2 levels deep doesn't work. Even hovering over them doesn't change the color to indicate they're being hovered. Icons in the menu can be pressed, however, menu items sometimes can't. MacOS updates are usually buggy, but I've never experienced something this bad in my life. I kick myself I didn't wait to update until Apple figured out the bugs. I bought a super nice MBP to avoid these types of issues and here we are. Thoughts? Suggestions? I've wasted so much time on this. It is super frustrating, but I don't see another solution at this point. I think I may just need to do a clean install go back to Ventura and then reinstall all my apps. You can't install an old OS without using a bootable disk and I was only told by another representative that my entire system would be wiped if I reverted back to Ventura. The "supervisor" I spoke to the second time told me I could just download Ventura from the app store and install it. I called Apple three times and they were not helpful at all. I called Apple three times, and they were not helpful at all. The computer was working great and then made the fateful decision to update to Sonoma. I have a 2022 M1 MBP with 32 gb ram, 1 tb had, and 10 core processor.
